About Bonnie Jean DeRosa

Executive Director-Producer, Bonnie Jean DeRosa

“Producing a film for an organization isn’t just about taking pictures, it’s a realization that first, the organization has come to about itself; that they are ready to become more of an integral part of the external world by folding themselves into it – their trials and errors, their solutions, their discoveries and their celebrations”

“It’s when the organization has begun to have an exchange of thoughts and ideas within their walls and a ‘buzz’ has bubbled up that defines who they are in a different way than previously thought. It is when they look at their own reflections and see themselves differently – who they were, who they are now, and where they see themselves going in the future. Then they’re ready to seek out the makers to reflect their new faces out to the world.

This is where we come in.

“When the individuals within an organization feel the tug of a creative energy pulling at them to redefine themselves, when they’ve looked into the mirror and see a new reflection of themselves and want to see that reflected out into the world, when they want to contribute and expand, when they want to participate and be a part of something beyond the four walls of their organization, then they are ready to call in the ‘makers’ – the architects, the builders, the artists, the outside perspectives who will help them visually express and build their new reality.”

The process of communication is in and of itself, the way to new discoveries and the way towards new solutions. If you believe you’re ready for us, we know we are ready for you”.

The belief in communication as an art form is something Bonnie Jean DeRosa holds both professionally and personally. “For me, communication through the visual arts is a practice of shifting from one perspective to another, for me, it’s an opportunity to evaluate where I’ve come from, how my work has evolved, and outside of myself, pulling in what is happening in our time, our culture, our new landscape, all into the work we produce for our clients.

“For me, the medium doesn’t matter, DeRosa says, “rather, it is the process itself to credit for finished art, film, drama, that informs, serves a purpose, and has an impact and that’s what we want for our clients’ projects – to create an impact. Working with our clients, practicing this art of filmmaking makes me feel I am contributing, participating and that together, we are a part of something bigger than ourselves, which is both reassuring, steading, and exhilarating the same time.

A recognized producer-director of educational and promotional films for the Department of Veterans Affairs, DeRosa’s work has been shown at VA sites across the country including their annual Stand Down events and at community care centers.
